History

The library began in 1991 as a 2,000-title collection at the founding of the Asian College Foundation, Inc. It was staffed by part-time professional librarian Ms. Catherine Macasero, the first ACF Librarian, with Mrs. Luzvisa Pitogo as Library Assistant.

The early library occupied a single reading room—today the Registrar’s Office—with a core collection supporting Radiologic Technology. By 1993, the Optometry program launched and the holdings expanded to meet the new discipline’s needs.

In 1998 Mr. Yncierto was appointed the first full-time professional librarian. Since then, the ACF Library has continued to anchor academic life, equipping students and faculty with resources for instruction, research, and lifelong learning.

To God be the glory!
